With Legacy, success is a game. If you can think like an entrepreneur, successfully designing and shipping products with the help of a well-managed workforce, you may just have what it takes to excel in a Legacy Design Competition!
Don’t let the relaxing feel of Legacy fool you. This game is a cutthroat strategy competition of time and resource management. Everything is laid back until that competition starts, then it’s all about the bottom line. You’ll be riding your workers hard and clicking for all you’re worth.
It’s all about the Gems, baby. It is only with Gems that you can enter Design Competitions, which are the only way to secure precious Legacy Tickets that convert to $GALA rewards.
Gem Packs are sold in varying quantities in the Gala Games store to ensure you always have the ability to jump on a Design Competition when you’re prepared to crush it!
As you advance through the game and build your business empire, you’ll unlock the ability to compete at higher leagues, where the prizes increase (but so do the Gem entry costs)!
Unlocking Design Competitions
Don’t worry! Your benefactors will not let you compete in a Design Competition until you’re ready, but once you’ve unlocked participation in your first competitions, you better not miss out!
Once you’re eligible to compete, you’ll see a notice up top informing you of the type of competition that’s coming up with a countdown until it begins.
There are two main focuses for Design Competitions in the early stages of Legacy:
Most Sales
In this type of competition, you’ll want to create a product that moves quickly, regardless of how much money you’ll make with each sale. Sometimes it’s all about proving to the clientele that you can keep up with their demand– Do that and you’re destined for big bucks in the biz world!
Most Revenue
These contests are all about bringing in cold, hard cash, no matter how complex the items you’re selling. This is when you can really push your entrepreneurial creativity to its limits to design some extravagant and expensive products. But be careful, speed also matters and you’ll want to strike a balance!
Limited Market
One of the easiest oversights for a new Legacy player that can cost you prizes is the market for your products. Check it out!
Once you’ve designed a product in your Factory’s Design Board, you’ll always have a limited market to work with before the demand runs out. A “Market Left” of 40 units may seem like a lot, but keep the following points in mind when you get rolling with a good product:
You’ll always be selling two units at a time, no matter your product, so think of 40 units as 20 sales.
When you’re effectively selling one product, be thinking about maximizing your next one.
Make sure your workers are getting enough rest to stay productive when it’s time to switch.
Most Design Competitions are an hour long, meaning you’ll have to shift products more than once!
Designing and selling with streamlined efficiency isn’t just a game of rushing. It’s about endurance and stamina as well. Make sure that you’re managing your build attentively, backing up your workers with your mouse play the whole time if you can. Don’t assume that just because they work without you that they don’t need you!

To ensure you get the best results from playing Common Ground World, here are some crucial reminders:
When using offline mode, make sure to log back in before the event ends to trigger fast forward.
Regularly check in if you use Fast Forward to keep your town up to date.
Ensure the game runs as the only tab in your browser for optimal performance.
Relaunch the game if another window covers the browser fully while playing.
Join a Guild
Guilds are live, and a great chance to enhance the Common Ground World experience with cooperative strategy while unlocking new levels of competition!
Every Common Ground World Node represents a Guild, as described in this blog. If you don’t own a Common Ground World Node, ask an operator friend to invite you to their Guild. You’re likely to find Guild leaders recruiting in the Common Ground World Guilds Discord channel. Go make some friends!

The Common Ground World team is thrilled to announce and unveil a groundbreaking update to our beloved farming sim game.
As we continue to nurture and expand the vibrant ecosystem of Common Ground World on GalaChain, we’re preparing to introduce a game-changing new feature that has been highly anticipated by our dedicated fan base: Guilds.
Tied intrinsically to Common Ground World Node ownership, Guilds represent a new frontier. The unique blend of collaboration, strategy, and competition of Guild play will offer an all around game enhancement to our flagship game.
Very soon, Common Ground World Nodes will become the first tokenized Node licenses in the Gala Games ecosystem, as announced in this blog. Following the release of GalaChain’s first Node Workload NFTs, Common Ground World’s Node-powered Guilds are scheduled for release in late April 2024. This update is set to transform how players interact within the digital landscape of Common Ground World.
Building and Guilding: A New Chapter Begins
Any owner of a Common Ground World Node Workload NFT (once minted) will have the opportunity to create their own Guild. This pivotal step involves:
Selecting a Node upon which to form a Guild
Assigning a name for the Guild
Assigning a unique tag for the Guild
Creating a description for the Guild
Gathering up to 20 Guild members to share in the Guild’s benefits
Guild leaders are endowed with the power to curate their Guild NFT Library, which operates essentially like a real library. The Guild Leader may place NFTs within the Guild Library and those NFTs can then be checked out by a single player at a time. This system gives each Guild a new level of maneuverability, cooperation and strategic control, allowing Guildmates to plan and borrow NFTs from the Guild Library as needed to maximize their gameplay.

Joining a Guild: Unite for Greater Achievements
The formation of Guilds opens the door for any Gala user without a Guild to join forces with others. By accepting an invitation or applying to a Guild, members can reap the benefits of all NFTs within the Guild Library.
Each Node Workload NFT will represent one Guild, and each Guild will allow up to 20 players. Basically, every worthy and dedicated player who wants to join a Guild will have access to one–They may even face a difficult decision about which Guild to join.
Guild membership amplifies each player’s prowess within the game while fostering a sense of camaraderie and collective achievement, uniting Guildmates through Guild Competitions.

With the incorporation of Guilds into Common Ground World, we are setting the stage for an era of unparalleled cooperation, but also introducing a new level of competition.
