Get ready for another 4 days of intense competition in GAMEDIA’s Spider Tanks with over $50,000 in daily GALA rewards

This is a solo mission with a $250,000 twist. Spider Tanks is a team game that pits you against an opposing team of 3 players. This week, you will still have teammates but no organized parties. May Mayhem week 2 is all about personal points. Get the highest points with a win and you get a piece of the $50,000 in daily rewards.

Everyone can play and everyone has a chance to win. Players with just a few hours a day available for gaming can still compete. It doesn’t matter if you own NFTs for Spider Tanks or not — you’ll be able to partake in the prize pool each day… if you have the skills.

Daily Challenge

This week players will be given five opportunities to take home rewards. Each player must complete 20 matches within a 24 hour period to qualify for that day’s reward pool. Only wins will qualify and your highest personal points from wins will be used to rank you for the day. If a tiebreaker is needed, then the player with the higher rarity Tank wins. If the rarity of the Tanks are identical, then the tiebreaker will be based on the win rate of matches played.

To encourage a level playing field, all Tanks, Weapons and Bodies will be the same level. Each map and game mode creates a different challenge for the player. Whether you are playing Capture The Flag, Team Deathmatch, or Chicken Chaser you will have an equal chance of obtaining the high score from your match. To ensure that overtime does not offer an advantage, any match that goes beyond 30 seconds of OT will not count.

Tiered Prizes

The $50k in GALA rewards will be allotted to 4 tiers each day. Players can qualify for a single tier only once during the first 4 days of competition. The fifth and final day of competition will allow players to compete for any tier again. If you play well enough it is conceivable to achieve $2850 in GALA rewards by the end of competition on Monday May 16, 2022 at 9am PT.

The tiers are broken down into the following:

• Platinum Tier (Ranked 1 to 10) — 10 people, $1,000 each
• Gold Tier (Ranked 11 to 20) — 10 people, $500 each
• Silver Tier (Ranked 21 to 40) — 20 people, $250 each
• Bronze Tier (Ranked 41 to 340) — 300 people, $100 each

By the end of competition on Monday May 16th at 9am PT every player will have had an opportunity to battle it out for a share of $250,000 in rewards this week. This week should bring many new players and seasoned veterans alike to the Spider Tanks battlefields, and we can hardly wait to see the community’s reaction.

The prize money is really flowing now in the most rewarding month of Gala Games history.

Mayhem is upon us! If you missed anything in the insanity, today we’re going to spotlight everything that went on during the first week of May Mayhem, as well as discuss what the coming week has in store.

We’re just kicking off May Mayhem, and there’s so much still to come. If you haven’t gotten in on the Mayhem yet, you’ve still got plenty of time to get in the game.

Let the Mayhem BEGIN!

It’s our favorite time of year here at Gala Games. The first week of May has already been total Mayhem, and we’re just getting started. Over $700,000 in GALA was awarded to players just last week alone and even more prizes are scheduled for this week.

The 10% of Spider Tanks players who competed in the most total matches from last Monday through Sunday night won a share of $250,000, and everyone who referred 6 players who won a match by Sunday night will split $100,000 worth of GALA in prizes between them.

The competition server wrapped up for last week’s Town Star competition, with the top 2000 places in the Town Star competition server splitting just under $460,000 of GALA overall.

Free NFT Time

Throughout May we’re continuing to reward our most dedicated players with free NFTs based on certain Gala Games items that were held in your Gala wallet or treasure chest before May started.

This week, all Legacy Deed holders received a special Shakespeare’s Townhouse NFT, with a unique version designed for each rarity of Deed in Legacy’s London. These upscale dwellings can be constructed in your town while playing Legacy, and will boost how quickly the worker who lives within is able to get some much needed rest.

The Shakespeare’s Townhouse NFT also unlocks the building blocks used to construct it, meaning that you can use its blocks to make other custom housing and still reap its special benefits.

These free NFTs are based on any Legacy Deeds you held during the snapshot, April 29th at 11:59 PM PT. There will be plenty of other ways to get in on free stuff this month, but these free NFTs in particular are a way for us to say thank you to dedicated members of our community. If you didn’t get in on the snapshot this time, there will always be more opportunities to get more great game items in the future. Holding Gala NFTs is all about rewards.

Can’t Stop the Mayhem

There are no plans to slow down this May. This month is about showing our community how much we appreciate them and we plan to keep giving out insane prizes all month long.

This week we’ll see a new battle in a fresh Town Star competition server, and the P2E servers will conclude their round as well. Even more GALA will be given away in Town Star this week. There’s a prize pool refilled with nearly $460,000 in GALA ready to go with the new competition server, as well as over $80,000 in GALA to be given out as bonus prizes once the P2E servers wrap up at the end of the week.

The Town Star Weekly Competition began today (May 10) at 9am PT.

Week 2’s competition in Spider Tanks will reward the highest point total earners in single matches each day with a share of this week’s $250,000 worth of GALA in prizes. The referral reward program continues, with even more added in prizes. For this week, those who refer 6 friends who prove that they have what it takes to win a match will split $115,000 in GALA.

Spider Tanks daily competitions kick off for the week tomorrow May 11th at 9am PT and will run through Monday morning at 9am PT.

April showers bring May millions in Town Star by Gala Games

May Mayhem has finally arrived, and this year we’re bringing even more rewards directly to the streets of Town Star! Last year May Mayhem was huge, and this year we’re going even bigger. As we mentioned last week, $2 million in rewards will be coming to the Town Star community during the next month!

We’ve got a huge pool of extra rewards in GALA and NFTs to spread around this year throughout Gala Games. There will be ways for everyone in Town Star to get in on these added rewards, regardless of whether you play in the competition or on a play-to-earn server! Here in Town, there is just no way to describe May other than total mayhem.

Massive Competition Rewards

The illustrious return of the competition couldn’t have come at a better time. We’ve massively expanded the prize pool for the competition server– far beyond what it’s ever been before! The prizes in GALA for each week are:

• 1st — $15,000
• 2nd — $10,000
• 3rd — $7,500
• 4th-10th — $3,000
• 11th-100th — $1,000
• 101st-200th — $715
• 201st-300th — $450
• 301st-1000th — $150
• 1001st-2000th — $50

Like last year’s May Mayhem, the competition will happen in 4 separate rounds with a new competition each week. The first week kicks off May 3rd and runs through May 9th. Get your strategies prepared, Town Stars!

Hundreds of thousands of dollars will be given out as prizes to those who rank in the top 2000 each week during the month of May, and there will be additional bonus prizes for random placements each week!

These bonus prizes will be given to different, undisclosed ranks across the leaderboard each week. The amount of places rewarded and the reward amounts will vary each week, but the total of these bonus rewards will come to an extra $40,000 in GALA each week!

Enhanced P2E

The Play-to-Earn servers aren’t going to be left out of all the MAYhem. In addition to normal earnings throughout the month, the P2E servers will also have bonus rewards on each server that reward random placements throughout the leaderboard.

For P2E servers, May will be divided into 2-week segments. Instead of the normal 30+ days, you’ll only have 14. A live stream will shortly follow each 2-week session during which numbers will be selected to win prize GALA.

During May, these bonus prizes will total up to over $200,000 rewarded to Town Stars on the P2E servers. Again, these aren’t rewards for the top of the leaderboard… there’s plenty of that in the competition!

New in Town

To celebrate the mayhem, we’re implementing an all new referral program into Town Star for the month. There’s never been a better time to introduce your friends to play-and-earn.

Each friend you refer to Town Star during May will make progress towards an epic NFT reward. You’ll need to refer 10 new Town Stars during the month to get a shiny new Feed Bot!

Once you click this link, you’ll be given your unique referral link that you can share.

Anyone who signs up for Town Star with this link will count towards your Feed Bot reward, but they will have to actually play the game. You’ll see an in-game counter that shows your progress toward reaching the goal of 10 and earning your Feed Bot NFT.

Get out there and share the greatness of Town Star with the world, and you may end up with a limited edition Feed Bot helper for your town.

Where’d the NFTs Go?!

Yep! As part of the restructuring of the Town Star economy, we removed all TOWN-earning items from the Town Star store. You still may have a good chance of finding some of them on the secondary market at OpenSea.

Every single Town Star NFT we pulled from the shop today will be burned from supply. Let that sink in.

Gala Games is at it again, with more than $4 million in player prizes throughout the month.

Whether it’s spring for you in the northern hemisphere or fall in the south, it’s time for Gala’s favorite month. After the epic events of last year’s inaugural May Mayhem Town Star tournament, we couldn’t help dubbing May a month of celebration for Gala Games.

What are we celebrating? This is the fun part. We’re celebrating you, our incredible, caring and devoted community. We’re dipping into the plentiful coffers of the thriving business you have made possible and taking out more than $4 million to share directly with you for participating and competing throughout the month of May.

With your help and support, we have created the beginning of something magical: A Web3 entertainment company that gives out even more than it makes. In 2021, we distributed over $2 billion in value to members of our Ecosystem. Now as Gala continues to expand, so do the rewards, and in May, we honor those who made it all possible: The players.

What Rewards MAY Come?

What is May Mayhem? How can you, average Gala Games community member, take full advantage and give yourself the best possible chance of rewards during this month of festivities?

Play Town Star

Gala’s flagship game of town and city builders has been rewarding NFT owners with the game’s reward token (TOWN) for over seven months now. Soon, with the addition of borrowing and lending, even free players will have the opportunity to participate in earnings with Town Star. That update is on the horizon for later in the year, and for now the buzz is all about Town Star May Mayhem competition!

Each week of May, Town Star will host a new competition with a large number of GALA prizes on the line and available to all players. In total, $2 million will be given away to Town Star players for the May Mayhem tournaments.

The first weekly Town Star competition will run May 3–9, so get your Town Star NFT collection ready!

Refer New Players

The referral race is on, with special promotions in both Town Star and Spider Tanks for the entire month of May.

Town Star

Collect 10 Town Star referrals during May to get awarded a special Feed Bot NFT that will help you with one of the most important jobs in the game! You’ll see a counter of your progress in the game. Remember, referrals must play the game in order to count toward your reward!

Spider Tanks

Spider Tanks is running a weekly referral competition in May, with a prize pool in GALA that increases each week until the end of the month.

To qualify for each week’s distribution, you must refer 6 players and each of them must win at least one match. Then at the end of the week, the total prize pool is distributed evenly among those who qualified that week.

Week 1 — $100,000 in GALA — May 2–8

Week 2 — $115,000 in GALA — May 9–15

Week 3 — $135,000 in GALA — May 16–22

Week 4 — $150,000 in GALA — May 23–29

Play Spider Tanks

Each week, Spider Tanks will run a $250,000 prize pool tournament, with prizes paid out after the tournaments’ end in GALA.

Players will qualify for the Week 1 Spider Tanks tournament by having the highest numbers for played matches, regardless of win/loss rate. 50% of the prize pool will go to the top 2% of battlers, and the remaining 50% will go to 3–10%.

The winners of the Week 2 tournament will be determined by their highest personal score in a single match. Players must win the match for those points to qualify for one of four tiers each day. $50,000 in $GALA is up for grabs every day.

Don’t worry, we only used “May” for the sake of the pun. There most definitely will be more. As you may have already noticed, we like to move quickly at Gala Games, and a month is a long time.

Certain in-game NFT owners in various upcoming titles will be surprised with random drops of exclusive new NFTs throughout the month. You never know when holding Gala NFTs will earn you sudden and seemingly random rewards.

Look for additional playtests among other titles, and maybe even some additional GALA-on-the-line competitions. After all, we’re giving away $4 million in GALA. You’ll want as much as possible of that to become yours.
