Gala Music Rewards
In Gala Music, engagement rewards are simple and (in true Gala fashion) somewhat gamified. Using a daily distribution point system, we are able to add yet another strategic dimension to your Gala Music experience. Each day, a portion of new $MUSIC is available for distribution as rewards for activity on the platform.
Qualifying actions for these rewards are designated in the Whitepaper as Ecosystem Supporting Actions. Making up 25% of the generated $MUSIC on a daily basis, they are designed to promote the growth of a healthy ecosystem and give all users a way to generate $MUSIC simply by engaging with Gala Music. For most rewards, there is no requirement to own NFT items, and for some, there is no spending prerequisite of any kind!
To determine the amount of $MUSIC that a user will receive for their interaction, various platform sharing activities qualify the user for various numbers of points. Then at the end of each 24 hour period, $MUSIC rewards are distributed proportionally to those points.

How to Share
You’ll find your referral link in multiple locations of your Gala Music account, such as at the top of the Referrals and Rewards page.
Additionally, if you use the social share option on individual tracks to share directly on social media, your referral will automatically be connected when your friends create an account as a result of your share.

Think of locking $MUSIC as a sort of voting system that allows all holders of $MUSIC to back the success of individual artists with the tokens sitting in their wallet. Thanks to the power of web3 and GalaChain, your wallet money doesn’t have to just sit there.
Follow these steps to contribute to an artist’s Loyalty Pool.
On any artist’s profile page, click Access Benefits to visit their Loyalty Pool.
Browse the artist’s benefit access levels in the tabs to the right.
Choose how much $MUSIC from your available balance you’d like to lock.
Finalize the free transaction with your GalaChain transfer code and verify.
You can lock $MUSIC in support of as many artists as you like, supporting them with any amount of $MUSIC you choose.
If you’ve been collecting a lot of $MUSIC rewards for owning and hosting tracks, listening to unique songs each day and sharing Gala Music with your friends, you’re probably prepared to level up your relationships with your favorite artists.
You can browse all artists on the platform directly from the Loyalty Pools page. In the Loyalty Pool box, look for this dropdown to freely search by artist, easily allocating your $MUSIC to the most deserving artists in minutes!

That’s it! Your $MUSIC is then immediately ready to be used however you like but you’ll no longer have access to the Loyalty Pool benefits you had unlocked for that artist. Don’t worry– Those benefits will be waiting for you as soon as you lock your $MUSIC back in!

Gala Music is powered by a network of GalaChain nodes known as Jukebox Nodes. These nodes have a critical role in hosting music content on the platform, allowing all users to listen to their favorite tracks seamlessly.
Think of these nodes as individual radio stations broadcasting songs over the internet, but operated by users like you. Unlike traditional radio stations however, there’s no need to “tune in.” Instead, the audio content you want is automatically delivered through web3 magic, straight to your ears via the next available Jukebox Node.
Pairing Your Track with a Jukebox Node
When you ‘pair’ a track with an active Jukebox Node, you are essentially uploading your track to the blockchain. This means your track is hosted on the network and available for others to listen to. There’s no additional cost to do this, and you don’t need to own a Jukebox Node yourself. If you do own one, however, you can choose to pair your track with your node to optimize your rewards.
Unlocking Rewards Through Music
Once your track is paired and receives listens on the platform, it starts generating rewards in the form of $MUSIC. These rewards are distributed among three parties: The Jukebox Node operator (the host), the track owner and the musician who produced the track. This incentivizes not just the hosting of tracks, but also active participation and promotion within the Gala Music ecosystem.
Rewards generated in each 24 hour period are divided among all instances of the track that are successfully paired with an active Jukebox Node.
