The historic $GALA contract upgrade is now complete and we’re ready to rock the world of gaming.

We have noticed some questions in Discord and in social media regarding the (now completed) $GALA contract upgrade. That’s right, we have successfully completed a monumental milestone in our journey — the massive smart contract upgrade from the original $GALA token to the new $GALA token.

Note: The token ticker is still $GALA. You will not see it listed as “v2” outside of these communications. All of the exchanges on our list (found below) have upgraded and if you buy $GALA from these exchanges, it is on the new contract.

This upgrade was a considerable undertaking, requiring months of tireless work, unwavering dedication, and unparalleled cooperation from our stellar team and numerous partners. The upgrade was carried out with flawless precision, a testament to the skills and expertise of all involved. The $GALA contract upgrade commenced at block #17267620 on May 15th, and we’re pleased to report that every wallet that held the now-deprecated token at the start of the upgrade now carries an equivalent amount of $GALA token on the new contract.

The previous token is now defunct, surrendering all its previous functions to the new $GALA. With assistance from our exchange partners and coin listing platforms, we have transitioned to the new token contract seamlessly and securely.

Patch 1.3.1 is here, and the start of Season 1 evens out the playing field.

The Planetary Union has officially announced the last pockets of Mayhem have dissipated from the solar system according to their readings. We hope all Pilots enjoyed this year’s frenzy, and that everyone returns to their senses safely, more than satisfied with their triumphs throughout the month.

With Mayhem behind us, it’s time to look to the future of Spider Tanks. Huge technological advancements in the tools of destruction that Pilots employ in the arena have changed the battle forever. The arena doesn’t sit still though. The arena evolves.

Edit 6/7/23: 
Patch 1.3.1 has been deployed addressing several bugs:

An issue with players stuck in “Joining Game” has been fixed.

An issue that caused a loop when accessing Saved Builds in the Garage has been fixed.

An issue with player’s rank in the leaderboards has been fixed.

Patch 1.3.0

This patch marks a major turning point in Spider Tanks, as new features, fixes and improvements will make the arena more fun and accessible to all.

New Content

The game now features a tutorial to familiarize players with the game before they get thrown onto a team. Think you’re ready for the arena? New rookie missions will test your skill. Complete them all to unlock a special Graduation Cap Prop in your Garage.

Casual Matchmaking

Casual matchmaking has been added to the game. In this mode, there is no VP awarded for wins or Elo gained or lost. Missions, however, can be completed within Casual Matchmaking.

Players who join Casual Matchmaking will immediately join a match in progress. If there is not one in progress already, a new game will be made with bots filling spaces until players join. When one game ends, the next will begin immediately and there is no penalty for leaving a match in progress.

Matchmaking Improvements

In Ranked Matchmaking, low BR players who end up matched against higher BR players will now receive a temporary BR buff to make the matchup more fair. This adjustment will never reduce a Tank’s BR, but will buff lower rating tanks up to 10 BR or 20 BR if necessary to get them a little closer to the power of their opponent.

This buff will just be for the duration of any match it is applied and will not affect any VP awarded upon winning.

Improvements

The mission interface has been streamlined in a few ways. Your inventory will now appear within the mission menu, and mission rewards are now named. You can also see your missions on the main ‘Play’ menu as well now. Completing a mission now gives you the bonus reward of a sweet animation!

The scoreboard in game will now show which players are in a party, as well as what type of match you are in. When players leave the game before the end now, they will still appear on the results screen.

Ever lose track of what’s going on with The Payload during Poultry Pusher? Now each Payload will have a HUD icon that displays its status.

We know the pain that comes from accidentally rerolling a Perfect upgrade. That pain will never be felt again, as it is now impossible to reroll a Perfect.

For the busiest Pilots out there with lots of contracts, you can now filter your contracts by Captain name.

Notable Bug Fixes

• Numerous issues with Piloting and Drop Pods have been fixed.
• Fixed players being kicked for low FPS or high ping after the match has ended.
• Fixed the issue where players were able to change Abilities mid-match.
• Fixed bug where multiple people could pick up one egg.

Introducing: Spider Tanks Season 1

With everything that has changed in the arena over the past seven months since Spider Tanks launched, it’s time for a fresh start. New Weapons and Bodies are pushing the meta to new places. New ace Pilots are inventing new strategies and innovating refined combos. Out with the old, in with the new.

The upcoming 1.3.1 patch marks the end of Spider Tanks Season 0. Elo will be reset at some point the day after the patch has been deployed, and everyone will have to fight to climb again. Rank will be hidden for all players until this reset occurs. These are intense times in the arena. Do you have what it takes to rise with the best early on?

Season 0 has one last parting gift before it goes… to remember all that winning. All players have been rewarded with a new in-game profile icon based on the highest rank they ever achieved during Season 0.

The Battle Rages On

The battle keeps going in the arena. We don’t know how long Season 1 will last (or we’re not saying), but you can bet that it won’t be forever. Climb that ladder, get those wins, dominate the competition!

The next Eternal Paradox playtest commences on June 6 at 6pm PT and will continue for 3 weeks!

We are thrilled to announce the second playtest for our mobile-first 4x RPG strategy game, Eternal Paradox! NDream and Gala Games have been working relentlessly behind the scenes to bring you an immersive world full of intrigue, strategy, and rich RPG battling. As always, our goal is to provide a top-notch gaming experience that pushes the boundaries of interactive entertainment and blockchain technology.

This playtest will be open to all Gala Games account holders.

Playtest Details

The second playtest will commence on June 6th at 6PM PT and will continue through until June 27th at 6PM PT. This period will be your opportunity to dive into the game, engage with its many systems, and help shape the future of Eternal Paradox.

Platforms

Eternal Paradox is designed with a mobile-first approach and will be available for both Android and iOS platforms. Although there is no PC build available for this playtest, players can still experience the game on PC by using an app player.

New Features and Updates

We’ve listened to your feedback from the first playtest and have made several significant updates to enhance your gaming experience:

• Rings of Ruin: Conquer the Rings of Ruin located in the middle of the field and exploration sites to accumulate points for your guild. The guild with the most points wins! A guild can conquer a maximum of 5 sites including the Rings of Ruin.
• Arena System: Engage in turn-based battles with other players in the newly added Arena. Win battles to earn Arena points that you can use to rise in the ranks. Honor points earned can be used to purchase items in the Arena shop.
• Land NFT System: Lease land NFTs using gems, apply buffs to your land, and collect resources and silver. Please note, previously purchased NFTs cannot be used in this test build.
• Gem Store: Visit our new Gem Store to purchase essential items to strengthen your character. Items can be purchased using test gems that will be obtainable during the playtest.
• New Mercenaries: Welcome Lucas, Zahra, Zoe, Zarkhan, Camila, and Ekon, our six new mercenaries ready to join your cause.
• Guild Festival: Team up with your guild members to take on new challenges and earn stage rewards.
• Additional Challenge Stages: We have added Chapter 7, 8, and 9 to our Challenge Stage.
• 1:1 Chat: Communicate directly with other players with our new 1:1 chat feature.
• Translation Function: Chatting has become easier than ever with our new English-Korean translation feature, allowing players to communicate seamlessly regardless of their native language.

The Gem Giveaway will offer tons of Gem rewards in several different areas of focus. Please note that Gems are in-game currency only and they are not transferable. The USD amount listed in the right column is merely the price for which the same amount of Gems would be sold in Eternal Paradox.

To ensure your eligibility for competition rewards, you must enter your Gala Games account information in the Settings menu of the game.

Prizes will be distributed at a later date once the game goes live. To be eligible, all players must link their Gala Games accounts in the Eternal Paradox Settings menu.

Every VOX Owner will receive two Chickens, one to keep and one to give to a friend. (Because good friends share the cluckin’ fun, right?) Town Star Chicken VOX owners will also notice a little something extra, as these VOX have hatched an extra Chicken in their wallets.

The number of VOX owned during the snapshot significantly increased the chances of obtaining chickens with higher rarity. Rarities range from Common to Ancient, but every Chicken is an egg-stravagant work of art.
