VOX Boxes Have Dropped

VOX Boxes Have Dropped

The Mirandus VOX Box drop brought in a huge wave of users trying to purchase a limited supply of 8888 total VOX Boxes. While there were some challenges with the order queue and distributions, once the dust settled, we were able to look back and see a few amazing statistics. Let’s take a look at a breakdown of the numbers.

Lots of Proud VOX Box Owners

The average number of VOX Boxes sold per order was just over 2. More than 3,100 of these purchases were unique buyers. We can use these figures to make future sales even more tailored to our community.

We are also extremely happy to see that over 2,000 Gala Gold members and over 1,300 Node owners were able to purchase VOX Boxes. We would like to reaffirm our commitment to developing new ways to serve those most devoted to the Gala Games community and ecosystem.

It’s also nice to see 25% of purchases were from new customers or those who had recently purchased a Gold membership. Consumer interest in VOX Boxes is growing, and the future is looking even brighter!

Today, the official Mirandus VOX Collection on OpenSea shows 4300 unique owners for the 8888 total VOX Boxes.

VOX in a Box

As you can see from activity on OpenSea, these Mirandus VOX Boxes are incredibly popular, and we cannot wait for you to see the INCREDIBLE voxel art that has been created for this project…The sheer scope and quality of what’s to come is going to blow your minds!

Community Art Project — Town Star Winter

Community Art Project — Town Star Winter

It’s time to have some good old fashioned creative fun, Town Stars!

We’re kicking off a special Town Star Winter Community Art Contest. Submissions will be accepted for the next two weeks in a special (temporary) new Discord channel — #Town-Star-Winter-Art-Project.

Old Fashioned is Encouraged

While we absolutely love digital art, there’s just something magical about picking up a pencil and paper, or designing and coloring a masterpiece with crayons or markers. You may want to cross-stitch or knit something. Maybe you are a sculptor. Anything that you can photograph is just fine!

Cameras are everywhere. We hope you can use this opportunity to create some physical and memorable that you will treasure forever. It will serve as a reminder of an extremely successful year’s end as a member of the Gala Games ecosystem, and it will give you an excuse to step away from the screens for a few minutes to recapture the childlike sense of creativity that is so important to us as a community and company.

A Word from the Director

“I was really excited to hear this was happening as I think Town Star is such an endearing world — and combining that with Christmas seems like a match made in heaven. I really can’t wait to see what y’all come up with! I’ll be watching that Discord channel closely.”

Warren Marshall, Town Star Art Director

Creation is Creation’s Prize

There will not be any official prizes in this contest. We are simply interested in our amazing community showing off its creativity with some Town Star winter art. There will be plenty of other times to win and earn in this ecosystem. In fact, we’re experts at creating such opportunities. This time, just have fun and create something to be shared. Our “finalists” or “winners” will be proudly shared with our wider community via social media and blog posts.

We can hardly wait to see the wonders you create. Hopefully, some members of the Gala Games team (now over 150 strong) will join in the fun as well!

What are you waiting for? Go create some art. Once it’s polished and ready to share with the world, pop it into the #Town-Star-Winter-Art Discord channel so everyone can see what you did!

We have an incredibly supportive community: The best in the entire crypto world. Let’s let our community members experience that loving support first hand for a change as they drink up compliments from their peers for the amazing art they’ve created. No judgement. Just congratulations. Thanks for being here.

Face the Aurora — Part 12 — Valentina and the Echoes of Empire

Face the Aurora — Part 12 — Valentina and the Echoes of Empire

One of the documents Valentina stole from the Arbiter Titan turned out to be a list of access codes, but she didn’t get a chance to look at it until she made it onboard the Asterias. Being the enterprising smuggler she was, and also having strong feelings about the Miasma as a subject, Valentina immediately used the codes to sabotage the immense ship. Two codes, and she was in.

All trace of her name, the Miasma, and Sigis Station were removed from the data banks until the only records left were the ones that rested in a nondescript little data chip on her galley table. It looked so harmless. Just a little silver slip of metal with the chip itself on one side, and the name of the maker on the other. It was such a tiny thing, but it was more trouble than Valentina had ever experienced, and frankly more than she could ever imagine.

Now she had a decision to make.

Obviously, that information was valuable. So valuable that Valentina didn’t want to hold onto it for very long. Sooner or later they would figure out that she had made it onto their ship and scraped their documents. As soon as that happened, she was in trouble. She was a small-time smuggler, and those who would want that information were the kind of people who didn’t mind killing anyone who got in their way. Valentina knew at this point that she was an expendable pawn in several games.

She didn’t want to be vanished.

If she could get that big payout before anyone caught up with her, it would finance a good long hide. Maybe take a relaxing stay at one of the resort planets. Who knows? She might even make enough money to retire completely and set up her own little smuggling bolthole like Mateo’s.

Actually, talking to Felix was probably a good decision regardless. Valentina certainly didn’t have the contacts to sell off vital information to anyone who mattered, but Felix did, and he could hand it off for her once the arrangements were made.

It would be hard. She had heard rumors that things with the three Factions were heating up. Certainly, if the Arbiters were searching for a powerful weapon, they were planning for serious trouble.

Valentina didn’t know anything about war, and she didn’t want to. War always made everything harder, and the only people who came out ahead were the people in charge.

She looked at the data chip again, and closed her eyes against the fear that pooled in her stomach. This was so much more than she ever wanted to face down. It was so much more than anything that fitted into how she faced the galaxy.

Squeezing back and choking off the tears of a child, Valentina reached over and punched Felix’s number into her comm. She’d have to go to Aurora’s Edge.

The sooner she was rid of that damned data chip, the better.
