The Mayhem isn’t finished in Champions Arena, as the Nexus and Estate bundles get loaded with some extra Legendary loot!

Own the Arena

Last week we unveiled our first sale for Champions Arena. The Estate serves a critical role for players seeking to own their own land within the game, inviting others to aid in their quest for glory.

The Nexus Bundle contains a key mystical tool for the truly great Champions. A Nexus allows you or others to attach Champions to it. Those Champions can then be used by other players, allowing the Nexus owner, the Champion owner and the player to share rewards received.

The Nexus bundle also offers an exclusive chance to own the Legendary Hero Veronika. Each time a Nexus sale takes place, all Nexus holders will receive a special, exclusive bonus NFT — even those who own a Nexus from past sales!

Going forward, we’ve decided to add that perk to Estates as well. Holders of Estates will now also receive a special bonus NFT each time they come up for sale!

Bigger, Better Bundles

Because May Mayhem comes but once a year, we thought we may as well sweeten up these sales so you can start your quest on the right foot.

Now, all purchasers of the Estate Bundle will receive a bonus Gem Box, and both bundles will contain a Legendary Aura set — made up of a Belief of Light Aura for all four classes! We understand that all Estate purchasers also purchased a Nexus, but there are a few occasions when you may want more than one of these Auras around!

There’s only a little time left to get into the action before this playtest ends. In just under a week on May 17th, the doors to the arena will close for now… but there will be much more coming soon!

We’ve sold over 100 Nexus bundles so far, and the team may have some additional surprises planned once we reach higher milestones. We’ll just have to wait and see…

This community playtest is a major milestone in the development of Champions Arena, but we’re not done just yet. Today we’re announcing our first two sales. These will both enable players to access unique mechanics within Champions Arena at launch, but there are still some playtest benefits as well!

The Nexus Bundle

The Nexus is an important part of any aspiring player’s toolset. A Nexus allows players to attach NFT Champions to it. Those Champions can then be accessed by other players to use in their battles.

Victory Points awarded to Champions used through the Nexus will be split between the player using them, the owner of the Champion and the owner of the Nexus.

The Nexus is a powerful force — it seems to draw power to you as you possess it. Purchasers of this Nexus Bundle will also receive the special Champion, Veronika. This Champion is only available to Nexus purchasers during this initial sale. In future sales, all Nexus holders will get a new bonus NFT each time Nexus Bundles are sold. This will be based on a new snapshot each time a Nexus Bundle is released.

Nexus purchasers will also get the special perk of being able to test drive Estate ownership and play with special Legendary Champions during our current playtest. Shortly after purchase, we’ll unlock the ability to act as an Estate owner for all Nexus Bundle buyers, then they can experience leading a team of other players and producing Gems through their Estate! Also we will grant 2 special Legendary Champion boxes so you can test out new ways to play.

Important note: These test Estates and Champions are just for the duration of the playtest. In future playtests or when the game goes live, Nexus ownership will be entirely separate from Estate ownership.

Nexus Sale Details

The sale for Nexus Bundles will begin on Monday, May 8th at 6pm PT. During this sale, there will only be 300 total Nexus Bundles available. This means that there are only 300 copies of the Champion, Veronika up for grabs during this sale!

Nexus Bundles will be priced at $1950, purchasable using $GALA, ETH or credit card. There will be no increasing price tiers for this sale, though future versions of the Nexus Bundle may be priced higher.

Claim Your Estate

Following the sale of our initial Nexus Bundles, the first Estates will be available. This will give owners a chance to stake their claim in the world of Champions Arena early. An Estate allows you to recruit other players to your cause. These allies will fight alongside you, but also help you develop your land.

Members of Estates enjoy access to important tools, such as The Altar of Summoning and access to a shared pool of rewards based on their team’s success. Players usually must pay a fee to access the Estate’s functions, adding additional gems to the treasury of the Estate owner. Owners can always set more favorable rates for members, however.

Since only the Nexus Bundle purchasers get a chance to act as the first Estate owners during our current playtest, it only seems fitting to give them the opportunity to continue that honor. Only the Nexus Bundle purchasers will be whitelisted for Estate purchases when that sale begins. You must be holding Nexus in your wallet to eligible for the Estate purchase.

Estate Sale Details

The Estate sale begins Monday, May 8th at 6pm PT. Estates are Ancient rarity NFTs, and there will only be 300 available for this specific sale. Nexus purchasers are the only ones who will get the chance to buy an Estate at this price.

Each Estate will be priced at $2000, purchasable using $GALA, ETH or credit card. There will be no increasing price tiers for this sale, though future sales for Estates may be priced higher.

With players already inside the playtest and loving their experiences, we are thrilled to be able to present these first sales for Champions Arena to the community.

A three-week playtest of Champions Arena starts soon! Don’t miss this chance to hop into the arena!

Champions Arena is back! Starting Thursday, April 27th you can return to the fray. Level your Champions, refine your tactics and dominate your opponents!

Upon your return to the arena, you’ll see everything you loved about Champions Arena during our November playtest and so much more. The developers at OneUniverse have been hard at work over the past few months, and can’t wait to hear the community’s feedback on this new demo!

The Coming Battle

This playtest will go live at 6pm PT on April 27th and continue through 6pm PT on May 17th.

As with the last playtest, players can play on either PC or mobile! Simply go to the Champions’ Arena Store once the playtest is live to download the PC game through the launcher or the APK /iOS to install the app to an Android/iOS device.

For this playtest, players will be able to login with their Gala Games accounts. This will enable us to track daily logins and eventually deliver rewards to playtesters when the game is live. (More on this below!!!)

Please note that we’ll be unable to track the progress of any players that login without connecting their Gala Games account. Those that choose to play as a guest will unfortunately not be able to unlock any extra rewards to be delivered after the game goes live.

New Features

Players loved their time in the arena last year, but now there’s even more ways to play and test your Champions’ mettle.

An all new Challenge Mode has been added! The Tower of Trials presents serious dangers for your Champions and only the best climb its treacherous levels. Victorious Champions who persist through the hardships of The Tower, however, may find useful equipment within.

To make it a bit easier to round out your team of Champions, a premium summoning option has now been added. While the previous option remains unchanged, this new premium summon only results in Champions, with no chance of delivering a stone to the player.

As your Champions test themselves in the arena, your Estate serves as their home base. With this new playtest, you can manage your own Estate or join up with a friend on theirs.

How do you get your hands on an Estate? We’ll be announcing the details of Champions Arena’s first sale early next week, which also offers players a chance to try their hand at running an Estate during this playtest. Those with Estates can have others join and explore all the benefits they can offer.

Gem Rewards

This will be a standalone playtest, and all data and items will be reset after its conclusion.

Players will receive a daily reward of premium currency so that they can experience all of Champions Arena. This reward will be delivered daily through in-game mail:

• 10,000 Gems
• 20 Essence

While all the loot and progress you are able to achieve during this playtest may be reset before launch, you’ll still have a shot at real rewards for you to use at launch. There’s three different ways players can get a pile of Gems reserved for their account when Champion’s Arena goes live.

Note: Gems are a premium currency within Champions Arena associated with your Gala Games account, not a tokenized item delivered to your wallet. Any of the following rewards will be delivered to your account after the official launch.

Arena Rank — Overall Arena ranking at the end of the test period

• Rank 1–3: $300 of Gems
• Rank 4–6: $250 of Gems
• Rank 7–10: $200 of Gems
• Rank 11–20: $150 of Gems
• Rank 21–30: $100 of Gems

Fixes and Improvements

We’ve heard the feedback from the last playtest, and made tons of small improvements based on that and our internal testing. Champions have been widely rebalanced across the board in both power and Rank, giving you new tactics and combos to explore.

The Mayhem raid has been rebalanced so that solo play is possible. This will let lower level players that may not have a team engage with Mayhem much easier.

The summoning fee has been altered to charge a flat cost now. Gems can now be used to increase the size of your Inventory Bag, add Mayhem Slots or reduce the time you spend on Expeditions.

Players will notice tons of other small improvements over their previous experience in November, but we won’t spoil all the surprise!

There’s three new Champions making their debut in today’s update introducing Arena Season 6!

Another season in The Arena is coming to a close. As a new contest begins, new Champions are coming to the battle!

This season will introduce two new Champions that can be summoned, and just as with other Champions in the past, they will temporarily grant a 15% VP bonus in battles.

That’s not all though! There’s also an all-new Battlepass starting, which means another brand new Hero! This third Battlepass will have all the opportunities to grab extra resources from completing quests as previous Battlepasses. Experience, Gold, Upgrade Stones, Soulstones and more… but best of all, The Midnight Terror, Valsharah!

Valsharah, The Midnight Terror

Out of the darkness comes an unspeakable horror… unless he is on your team!

Valsharah is The Midnight Terror. The bringer of nightmares, this ancient entity has long tortured evildoers in their sleep using their very soul as a weapon. No more. Valsharah is no longer bound to the path of nightmare… but he isn’t afraid to use it against his opponents either.

Valsharah is a Epic rarity supporter obtainable through the third Battlepass hitting the Cash Shop with this update. As usual, completing the Battlepass will give you Valsharah himself, as well as a good amount of Soulstones to get him a good start as soon as he hits your team.

A team can benefit from Valsharah’s support as well as the debuffs he’s able to lay on enemies.

With his 1* and 2* attacks throwing out major buffs and generating mana, it’s clear the critical role Valsharah can fill on a team. Mind Drain and Normal Attack can keep your spells usable and your allies hitting fast and true, once you get to Nightmare is where Valshara’s true talent shines.

Nightmare slows opponents to a crawl, but can also potentially put every enemy team member to sleep if used at the right time. This can turn a match around immediately and clench victory for Valshara and his allies.

Valshara’s passive skill will cause stacking debuffs to become even more oppressive on enemies, potentially decreasing their defense by up to 35%. This is especially useful in matches where another Champion is debuffing alongside Valshara, or fights that drag on forever.

Beatrice and Luddy

The latest new Champions to enter the summoning pool, Beatrice and Luddy are two you may not want to look out for!

Like other featured new Champions in the past, these two will enter the pool of Champions that can be summoned at a boosted rate during this introductory event only. Players will also receive a temporary 15% boost to VP with Beatrice and Luddy in their parties. It’s important to note that this bonus will replace the bonus for previous Champions who will no longer get this extra VP boost.

Both of these Champions are Legendary, and there are new Growth Packages coming to the cash shop corresponding to either. There’s no way to outright buy one of the Champions except by summoning them or buying from another player. Remember, this means the first person to summon either one has the only copy until someone else happens to summon another.

If you want to know more about these Champions, you’ll have to wait a while longer yet. With it being a spooky holiday for some folks in the world, we figured it would be nice to just leave you with just The Midnight Terror for the moment… sweet dreams!

In all seriousness though, we’ll circle back and give you some more info on these two tomorrow once you’ve had a moment to digest. Also, they are available through summoning now with this update. We figured everyone could wait half a day to learn more, but the first person to summon one could very well be the first to even know their abilities!

We’re thrilled to announce the first playtest for Champions Arena is now live! Players can get in right now and have their first experience within the arena on PC or Android devices!

The First Battles

While this early playtest will have some limitations, we’re excited for the community to get in and experience Champions Arena’s style and core gameplay.

In Champions Arena you’ll play choose from a wide variety of Champions, each adaptable and customizable in multiple ways. Your team of Champions will utilize powerful skills and spells in turn based combat to defeat enemies and win glory.

Each Champion is distinctive, as is each player’s style as they build their team. You’ll combine skills to create more powerful and unique versions, gather powerful relics and equipment, and train your Champions until they are the ultimate power in the arena.

Mobile Ready

This playtest is available right now on both PC and Android devices. The developers of Champions Arena are committed to making a great game that both desktop and mobile gamers can enjoy.

To download the mobile version, go to the Champions Arena game page and click “Download APK”. This will start the installation of the app on your Android device.

Unfortunately, progress will not be shared between mobile and desktop for this playtest. While we hope to have this functionality in future experiences with the game, at the moment your progress will not carry over between the Android version of the game and PC.
