We’re excited to share details about an upcoming TownStar release focused on improving the disconnection experience that many of you have raised feedback about.
This release will take place on Sep 26, 2025.
Previous Behavior
When the globe icon appeared, it would remain on screen until the player noticed it. At that point, it was up to you to refresh the window manually. If you didn’t, you risked continuing to play without saving your progress — which could lead to frustrating losses.
New Behavior with This Update
With this release, the system will handle things for you:
- ⏱️ After 10 seconds of the globe icon being active, the game will now ask you to reload.
- This ensures you won’t continue playing while disconnected, preventing unexpected progress loss and removing the burden from players to constantly watch for the globe.
Bonus Improvement
Alongside this, we’re rolling out a new server configuration. This update will help distribute server loads more efficiently, which should reduce how often the globe icon appears in the first place.
