If you’ve been holding your breath for an even better build, this is your chance. If you haven’t played in Early Access at all yet, here are the steps to get in the game.
Make sure your free Epic Games account is all set up.
Make sure you are logged into your Gala Games account in your web browser.
Once in the game, find a server in your global region and jump in with your best Early Access crew.

No Token Yet?
you may want to hurry up and make friends with a Last Expedition OP (Node Operator). You’ll need a worthy crew to run missions with, but Node Operators may also be holding onto some extra Early Access tokens, as multiples were included in past Operator’s Node License bundle packs.
Picking up Early Access in the Gala Games store is as easy as grabbing an Early Access Hunter’s Pack, which includes a limited edition Rare “Ice” Skin for Alice Mackeye.
Once you have that token in your GalaChain inventory, you’ll be allowed to download the Early Access build and install the game.
Very soon, we’ll be launching a series of developer streams in which the gaming greats who created Last Expedition will take on Aura themselves, talking about the game’s future while doing their best to survive in a brutal custom server full of badass OP Mod predators.
Run Your Node
If you purchased a Last Expedition Operator’s Node License bundle in a previous sale or found an OP License in a Gala Games Mystery Pack, now’s the time to configure and start running your server.
No details are yet available on the future reward economy for Node Operators, but you can get your Node ready and empower other Early Access players to join in! If you’re a collector of OP Mods like the Primal Ravager, Primal Bone Snapper and Primal Porcupine, this is also your chance to pack them into your server and make it more challenging for everyone.

The new build will hit the ground running on Monday, December 18th 2023, when a fresh expedition to the hostile alien planet will begin for any Gala Games account holders who have a coveted Hunter’s Early Access Token in their inventory. You’ll definitely get killed, so be ready for that and try not to cry when you watch your team get eaten by Ravagers.
Alice is ready for you to get in this build so she can splatter some aliens.
If you don’t have a Hunter’s Early Access Token yet, grab a Hunter’s Early Access Pack in the Gala Games store today. As part of this exclusive pack, you’ll also get a Rare “Ice” NFT skin for Last Expedition’s specialist character, Alice Mackaye. Simply hold at least one Hunter’s Early Access Token in your account inventory to unlock the current Early Access build.
In Last Expedition, four teams of four players battle it out in a race to secure three alien fragments and unlock a mysterious core. The team that obtains the core and escapes the hostile planet with it in their evac ship wins the match.
Tailor your loadout to the mission, scavenging for resources and utilizing your crafting skills to forge an arsenal of devastating weapons. Adapt to your surroundings and work together with your best mates to unleash a symphony of firepower upon your foes.
The December Build
What can you expect from the latest build? A massive leap forward from our September release in sound, graphics, gameplay and immersion. Much of this work has been finalized recently and has not been seen outside of the dev team. These gaming pros are giddy with eagerness to jump into a community live stream and show y’all how it’s done.
In addition to sleeker graphics and a more streamlined gameplay experience, you’ll also find a nice set of tutorial materials that will easily equip newcomers to face whatever challenges Aura can throw at them.
This build will stay live until early next month, when a special event will open Last Expedition’s gates to the wider Gala Games community for a limited time. But don’t worry, Early Access Token holders, because there are still plenty of pre-alpha and Early Access builds left before the big Beta launch that will open the game for good and remove the Early Access Token gate.
Last Expedition OPs (node operators), the unsung heroes of this immersive experience, are the backbone of this community of players. By running their nodes, they maintain the servers that power Aura, ensuring seamless gameplay and an unforgettable experience for all players. And soon, these OPs will wield even greater power, as they gain the ability to customize their servers, transforming them into the private web3 LAN parties of the future. OPs… we salute you!

The team recently rebuilt the entire game in Unreal Engine 5 and we’re constantly evolving, adding new features, challenges, and surprises to keep players’ hearts pumping. Prepare to encounter new alien species, master uncharted territories, and uncover the secrets hidden deep in the massive and unforgiving planet of Aura.
Epic Games Account
For this Beta Launch, a free Epic Games account is still necessary to get in the game, and you’ll be prompted to sign in with that account once you’ve downloaded the game through the Gala Games launcher.
If you have connected your Epic Games account in a previous build, you will not be prompted to do it again with the latest build.
Once the game is fully live, an Epic Games account will no longer be needed for Gala Gamers to access it, but for now, the added hosting support has allowed our devs to focus on more important issues as they prepare for launch.
OP License Bundles
Operator’s License Bundles are still available for anyone who wants to operate a Node and run their own Last Expedition server!
The current Operator’s License Bundle comes with an Uncommon Forest Snapper OP Mod and 4 Hunter’s Early Access Tokens.
When you purchase an Operator’s License Bundle to run a Node, you’re also subscribing to the exclusive OP Mod club, and you’ll receive every new Predator OP Mod NFT when it is released in all future sales! For example, those who purchased Operator’s Licenses in the inaugural (Primal Ravager Apex Predator) sale have also received every single OP Mod released since.
An new OP License Bundle sale with a brand new predator will line up with our January event, but for now, that’s all we’ll say. At Gala, it pays to become an early adopter!

The extraction FPS powered by player-owned Operator’s Nodes is now live in Early Access to anyone with an Early Access Token.
The Last Expedition team is thrilled to release the highly anticipated new build! Even more importantly, this is the first chance Early Access Token holders will have to get in on the action. Until now, only Last Expedition Node Operators (OPs) could play, but with thousands and thousands of Early Access Tokens now active out there in the wild, this is a new era of Last Expedition Early Access.
Remember–Early Access Tokens will grant the owner access to all Early Access playtest builds up until the Beta launch of Last Expedition (date TBA).
The Early Access Token
In the monumental shift to GalaChain operations for everything in our games, some adjustments were required to make the original Early Access Token concept a success. A new version of the Early Access token has now been minted on GalaChain and distributed to everyone who purchased Operators’ License Bundles in the earlier sales.
Please note that the original Early Access Token NFT is now completely devoid of utility and should not be bought, sold or transferred.
Early Access is a thing of beauty!
Now, each Early Access Token is a unique GalaChain minted item complete with an ID number. Operators may now distribute these tokens to anyone they’d like to have early access to this amazing game.

The 4th Bundle
This is the fourth time Last Expedition Operator’s licenses have been sold. These Bundle sales are always limited in both supply and time.
First, the Ancient Primal Ravager Bundle was released on November 18th, followed by the Ancient Primal Bone Snapper on December 16th, 2022. The 3rd bundle in late March brought us the Primal Porcupine, and now it’s time to reveal the Uncommon Forest Snapper!
The main item in the bundle is the Last Expedition Operator’s License, which allows you to run a Last Expedition Node on GalaChain to power gameplay, run a custom server, and eventually receive rewards in exchange for that computing power.
Each Operator’s license purchased comes with an apex predator NFT that we call an OP Mod, designed to… let’s say spice up your server.
This bundle also comes with 4 Early Access Tokens. These aren’t usable yet, but hold them in your account, because as stated above, we’ll soon have the ability to use these Early Access Tokens on GalaChain to unlock access to the game.
Subscription Club
When you buy an Operator’s license for Last Expedition, you’re basically joining an OP Mod subscription club. Everyone who purchased a license in the first bundle sale, for example, automatically has received the OP Mod that came with each subsequent sale.
Basically, someone who bought the Ancient Primal Ravager bundle in the first sale would also have received the Bone Snapper and the Porcupine, and they’ll also receive the Forest Snapper.
Anyone who buys the Forest Snapper will be in the subscription from here on out. Get the picture?
The Future is Almost Here

Node Operators (OPs) are the foundation of the Last Expedition community. Running a Last Expedition Node is an exclusive early opportunity to own and operate a Last Expedition server. In addition, the bundle contains 10 Early Access Tokens* to share and an exclusive Ancient Primal Porcupine Operator’s Mod NFT.
*Early Access Tokens do not work yet, but will later be redeemable for access in future playtests, or act as the key themselves.
Last Expedition Operator’s Nodes
The Operator’s Node License is integral to Last Expedition. Licenses should begin showing up in your account within 24 hours of purchase and will enable you to run a server in future testing of Last Expedition. That’s right, your Node will be running a custom server workload for you and your friends to play Last Expedition before anyone else!
Early Access Tokens
Purchasers of the Ancient Porcupine Operator’s License Bundle will additionally receive 10 Early Access Tokens for upcoming playtests in 2023. In the event that we launch a playtest using a locked service, then these tokens will later be redeemed for a key. Otherwise, Early Access Tokens will eventually serve as the keys themselves.

EVERY TIME Last Expedition Operator’s License Bundles go on sale, a new token will be dropped to those who have purchased the subscription in previous sales. Ancient Primal Porcupine
Owning an Ancient Primal Porcupine OP Mod will spawn Primal Porcupines on your server whenever you run your Node. This must be used with a Last Expedition Operator’s Node and cannot be used separately.
The Porcupine is like an alien archer that shoots its quills at players pinning them to the ground. The quills explode, spreading corrosive acid over a wider area. Porcupines can also be used in conjunction with other Mods like The Ancient Primal Ravager and The Ancient Primal Bone Snapper. For the ultimate experience, multiple instances of this Mod can be stacked to torment your players!
