On the third day of the Spider Tanks Korea Node Owner Tournament, all the first rounds are finished and it moved on to the quarterfinals. Eight teams have taken one step closer to their trip to Vegas. Let’s take a look at the recap of Day 3.
Day 3
Like other matchups, nerves affected the gameplay a lot, and teamwork was more important than individual players’ skills. The first quarterfinal match was, as everyone expected, a preview of the final and very exciting.
MiningQueen vs maxtank
The teams’ strategic choices were the key to winning or losing. Although they both used the same strategy twice, MiningQueen used a more solid combination, which helped them advance to the semifinals. maxtank did a great job but the healer could have chosen better locations during the game.
795 vs PIRIMI
Due to unstable network connection, there were several rematches in this matchup. However, 795 did not lose their concentration, not affected by the issue. PIRIMI chose Chicken Chaser Mode as a surprise and won the match, but the victory did not last long. PIRIMI chose Chicken Chaser Mode again but 795 was very quick to adapt to the new mode. It was fun to watch gameplay in a new mode as well as strategic moves that both teams made.
AK vs Las
The long-awaited first matchup of the Quarterfinals was a battle between two strong front runners. Many thought this would be a preview of the final. AK was recognized by other teams as the strongest team, and its gameplay proved such expectations. In particular, Wangtto’s tanking was outstanding, and the timing of his location shift with Seymar was perfect. Las did an amazing job, but unfortunately, this is where their journey ends.
Now we only have three Quarterfinal and two Semifinal matches remaining. Stay tuned for exciting and close-run games!
