We needed some esports spectator entertainment worthy of Into the Galaverse! With this tournament (which will be open to node owners only) we’ll be focusing on 2 communities in particular: Korea and the United States.
It’s time to break up into teams and prepare for the very first Spider Tanks esports tournament event that will land the 4 best teams a trip to Las Vegas in December to compete in the finals LIVE at the Galaverse, in the heart of the Spider Tanks world!
Tournament Details
Preliminary rounds will consist of 2 separate tournaments. The US Tournament will consist of 16 US teams of node operators and take place the week of November 15th. The Korean Tournament will consist of 16 teams of Korean node operators and take place the week of November 22nd.
US Tournament
Starting on November 15th, each of the 16 teams will battle in a single elimination bracket-style tournament. Each match will be best 3 out of 5 wins. At the end of the week, the two teams that remain will be entered in the finals.
The finals will be held LIVE in the Galaverse on December 11th and 12th. Registration is open and teams are forming now. US-based node operators, choose your teammates well, because they will either lead you to historic Gala Games esports glory, or bitter defeat!
US Application
- Find a team of fellow US-based node operators — 16 teams of 3 will be accepted. Ownership of a Spider Tank is NOT required to participate
- Fill out the US application at THIS LINK, agreeing to the terms and providing the necessary information (including the Discord names of your teammates).
- Be ready to battle throughout the week of November 15th! A special practice server will be opened for the tournament entrants with the specific game build that will be used in the event. This will be a level playing field for all, with all Tanks and Armaments able to be selected.
- Be ready to travel to Las Vegas for Into the Galaverse on either December 11th or 12th (specific date TBA). Finalists will NOT be required to have Galaverse tickets.
