With this latest exciting piece of Gala Music web3 gamification, every Mystery Box purchaser can unlock their own personal tour of the Road to Fame, with multiple chances to enhance the Mystery Box experience with incredible rewards and prizes.
Walking the Road of Fame
Opening Mystery Boxes is already a community favorite adventure for Gala Music users, giving them limited opportunities to score awesome and rare prizes like event passes, special track NFTs, exclusive merch, $GALA, $MUSIC or even Jukebox Nodes.
The Mystery Box is one of our favorite ways to partner with leading Gala Music artists while offering the community a new gamified product with varying value and a fun collectible experience.
How It Works
The Road to Fame is a new way for users to unlock additional rewards using $MUSIC, the official utility and reward token of Gala Music.
The Road to Fame
From now on, whenever you purchase an eligible Mystery Box (or become eligible through the alternative method of entry), you’ll be presented with a new option to enter the Road to Fame.
Use some $MUSIC to enter the Road to Fame, spinning the wheel to begin advancing through stages with chances to win additional Mystery Box prizes that cannot be bought. These special Mystery Boxes could contain many things (currently NFT tracks, Jukebox Node shards and varying amounts of $MUSIC).
The road begins with a Warm Up and progresses through levels with increasing $MUSIC costs and rewards for each level: Headliner, Backstage and finally, Hall of Fame.
There are 4 possible outcomes every time you spin the Road to Fame Wheel:
SMALL WIN: Unlock the lesser of two Mystery Box rewards for that level!
BIG WIN: Unlock the greater of two Mystery Box rewards for that level!
RESPIN: You get a free respin!
BOW OUT: Your road ends but you get FAME. Better luck next time!
*FAME are non-transferable points that can be collected and used to enter the Road to Fame even without purchasing a qualifying Mystery Box.
When you purchase any participating item or enter through an alternative method of entry, you’ll have a one-time opportunity to enter the Road of Fame, no matter what method of entry was used.

This is the result of an epic contest in collaboration with our friends at LabelRadar. What started as hundreds of submissions from aspiring Gala Music artists was narrowed down to a top ten list by our esteemed panel of curators, including Macy Gray, PLS&TY and key members of the Gala Music team. Then, we put it to the Gala Music community for a vote using our state-of-the-art GalaChain powered NextUp voting system.
The votes closed and the community had spoken. After handsome cash prizes for the top 5 and music production software packages valued in the thousands for the top 3, it’s now time for the main event… The LabelRadar Box.
The results are finally in for the NextUp Contest. 😎
After our esteemed team of judges (featuring Macy Gray and PLS&TY among others) curated hundreds of submissions down to a list of the top 10, we put them up for vote to let the Gala Music community choose the winners.
This contest, co-hosted with our friends at LabelRadar, was the perfect opportunity to demonstrate decentralization in action through our state-of-the-art blockchain-powered voting system, NextUp.
The Prizes
First off, each of the top 5 winners received a $1000 cash prize.
The top 3 winners also received professional music production software packages from leading brands, valued at:

Finally, every top 5 winner will soon have their winning tracks featured in a special Mystery Box called the LabelRadar Mystery Box. Look for this Mystery Box release during the month of November.

We expect this extra gamified layer of the vote to create an especially exciting finish as community members and finalists are strategizing to cross that Halloween finish line with the most votes.
