Now the Doggfather has joined forces with Gala Music to bring Death Row Records back to the world with a poignant industry-changing impact: The first ever decentralized record label built on a blockchain system, and a chance for fans to share in the rewards.

Death Row Records
DRR was founded in 1991 by Dr. Dre, Suge Knight, The D.O.C. and Dick Griffey. The label found early success with rising artists like Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, The Dogg Pound and Tupac. In spite of big wins throughout the nineties, a series of troubled times led to the label declaring bankruptcy in 2006, long after Snoop had left the company in 1998.
In February of 2022, Snoop Dogg acquired the brand, making history by purchasing the label that led to his initial success in the nineties. This is where a bright new future begins for Death Row Records, revived and revitalized under the leadership of one of its OG stars.
There is profound meaning in the way this particular label was brought back and turned into a pioneer of empowerment. How many artists can say they have bought the label that made it all happen? The iconic label that launched so many careers and defined a cultural moment in the 90s and 00s is now writing the next chapter of music history — on the blockchain. With a revived brand and a new Snoop album launch (perfectly titled Bacc On Death Row), Death Row Records is about to change music again.
