Survival Just Got Real in the Next Mirandus Playtest

April 9, 2025

The world of Mirandus is evolving — and danger now comes with a new layer of strategy.

On April 9, a major playtest update is arriving, bringing deeper survival mechanics, more immersive visuals, and new systems that will test your planning skills as much as your combat reflexes.

⚔️ Weapons and Armor Now Have Durability

Every adventure now comes at a cost. With this update, weapons and armor are no longer eternal. Each successful attack with a weapon, and each defensive hit absorbed by your armor, will slowly wear down your gear.

Run in blind, and you may find your blade broken mid-battle. Take too many hits without repairing, and your armor could shatter at the worst moment.

And beware: death is now more punishing, with additional durability loss applied to your gear each time you fall in battle.

🧪 How Repairs Work

To repair your equipment, you’ll need to craft a special powder by combining a unique loot drop with Materium, the magical substance that fuels the world of Mirandus. This turns every encounter into a meaningful decision — whether to push deeper into danger or return to safety and restore your strength.

🔶 Important Information Regarding Progress

Mirandus is a game under heavy development, and player progress will need to be reset from time to time. This means you may lose all your inventory items, even equipped or repaired ones, as well as any Test Materium received. Please keep this in mind while you enjoy the game.
