Building the Future of Innovation
After a successful debut in 2024, Gala Music is proud to return to the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) this fall for the Second Annual “Pitch FIT” Student Entrepreneurship Competition.
At Gala, our mission has always been to empower the world with Web3 technology—and one of the most powerful ways we can do that is by investing in the next generation of entrepreneurs and creatives. Together with FIT, we’re giving students the chance to put their creativity into practice, sharpen their business skills, and explore how emerging technologies like GalaChain can reshape industries.
Why FIT?
FIT is part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system and has been a global leader in art, design, business, and technology education since 1944. With almost 9000 students and deep industry ties, FIT’s campus in New York City is a natural hub for creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship. That’s why this partnership is the perfect match: bringing together Gala’s Web3 vision with FIT’s legacy of cultivating creative leaders.
How the Competition Will Work
This year’s competition will be integrated into several entrepreneurship courses at FIT, including:
- EP-311 – Introduction to Entrepreneurship
- EP-361 – Cognitive Entrepreneurship
- EP-364 – Understanding & Developing Web3 and NFTs
- EP-365 – The Artist as Entrepreneur
- EP-366 – Corporate Entrepreneurship
- EP-441 – Converting Innovation into Value
The contest is open to all undergraduate and graduate students (full-time and part-time) enrolled at FIT during the Fall 2025 semester ONLY. Students may participate individually or as teams, and submissions can even overlap with class projects.
Participants will prepare:
- A one-minute video pitch
- An executive summary
- A full pitch deck presentation (for finalists)
Students will work with FIT faculty mentors and Gala Music team members to refine their entrepreneurial concepts and learn hands-on skills that translate into today’s rapidly evolving creative economy.
Prizes
Winners will be awarded cash prizes provided by Gala Music:
- 🥇 1st Place – $2,000
- 🥈 2nd Place – $1,000
- 🥉 3rd Place – $500
This year, Gala is sponsoring a Special Web3 Track for projects focused on blockchain innovation:
- 🥇 1st Place (Web3 Track) – $1,000
- 🥈 Runner-Up (Web3 Track) – $500

This competition is more than just a pitch—it’s an opportunity for students to:
- Test their entrepreneurial vision in front of real industry judges
- Explore how blockchain and Web3 tools like GalaChain can power future businesses
- Gain practical, market-ready skills while building confidence as innovators
Last year’s competition revealed just how imaginative and driven FIT students can be, so much so that the winner had the opportunity to share his project on the nationally syndicated show hosted by the legendary music journalist, Sway on his Sirius XM show Sway in the morning. This fall, we’re thrilled to see how the students will continue to push boundaries even further.
