2025 was a wild year to be building in Web3.

Markets swung all over the place. Narratives came and went. But inside Gala, one thing stayed constant: we kept shipping real products with real value.

This was the year Gala truly became a four-pillar company:

• 🎮 Games
• 🎬 Film
• 🎵 Music
• 💱 DeFi

That fourth pillar – DeFi on GalaChain – is already making waves and sets us up incredibly well for 2026. And across all four pillars, we saw real momentum: more users, more content, more partnerships, more on-chain activity.

Here’s a look back at some of the highlights you made possible in 2025.

💱 DeFi on GalaChain: Our Newest Pillar

In 2025, DeFi stopped being “something we’ll get to” and became a core part of the Gala business. We now have a live stack running on GalaChain: wallet → DEX → Launchpad → user-friendly tools.

Gala Wallet

We launched Gala Wallet, the native wallet of GalaChain, and watched adoption climb through the year.

• It’s now used by 7,500+ people every month to hold, move and use assets on GalaChain.
• And has become the preferred wallets for users across Gala

GalaSwap: A Token Exchange for GalaChain

Five months ago we launched GalaSwap, our token exchange built specifically for GalaChain.

GalaSwap has already:

• Processed $40M+ in trading volume
• Facilitated 250,000+ swaps
• Seen almost 200 unique liquidity pools created by the community
• Created the APIs to enable both high-frequency traders along with everyday users
• And become trusted by 28 liquidity providers with their funds

GalaPump: Launchpad for New Tokens

Toward the end of the year we launched GalaPump, our token launchpad that lets communities, artists and projects create tokens on GalaChain in a few clicks.

Despite only being live for just over a month, GalaPump has already:

• Seen 650+ unique tokens created
• Hosted multiple community collaborations with artists and meme communities
• Helped new projects launch and then “graduate” onto GalaSwap for wider trading

The goal isn’t just speculation – it’s about giving communities tools to reward, coordinate and engage in new ways, inside the same ecosystem as our games, music and film.

Making DeFi More Accessible

DeFi can be intimidating. So we also shipped tools designed to make it feel approachable:

• Easy Mode – a guided flow that helps users get a wallet set up, acquire some tokens and join a simple, stable liquidity pool without having to learn complex DeFi concepts.
  
• A new Liquidity Pool Management platform that makes it much easier for LPs to monitor and manage their positions.
  

These tools are the starting point. In 2026, Easy Mode will evolve further, with automation and bots helping users manage positions, trades and even bridging even more seamlessly.

GalaChain Liquidity

Finally, we rolled out Node Staking, tying Founders Node rewards more directly to activity on GalaChain:

• Node rewards are now connected to on-chain GALA balances and liquidity, aligning incentives with the health of the network.
• This helped drive over 4 billion GALA bridged onto GalaChain, with 7.5 billion+ GALA now held there in total.

Together, these pieces – Wallet, GalaSwap, GalaPump, Easy Mode, Node Staking – turned DeFi from an idea into a real, functioning fourth pillar for Gala.

🎮 Gala Games: Milestones, Liveops and New Worlds

On the games side, 2025 was about maturing live games, growing economies and stepping further into the mainstream.

A Historic White House Moment

One of the standout moments of the year:

Gala became the first blockchain partner of the White House Easter Egg Roll.

Our Easter Egg Hunt mini-game was played over 600,000 times, welcoming thousands of new users into the Gala ecosystem as families discovered Web3 gaming on the South Lawn.

Town Star: A Stable, Levelled-Up Year

Town Star had one of its most solid years so far:

• It levelled up with Gems, unlocking new layers of utility and progression.
• Ran weekly events and regular sales, delivering a consistent liveops cadence.
• Shipped a major inventory UX upgrade, making it far easier to search, manage and use NFTs and in-game items.

Town Star continues to be our proving ground for how to run sustainable, long-term on-chain economies.

Mirandus: Building a Living World

For Mirandus, 2025 was about turning a high-concept fantasy MMO into a constantly evolving world you can actually live in:

• We set a monthly update cadence, adding content and systems throughout the year.
• We introduced events and brought crypto (both burning and minting) into the game loop itself (for gear repairs, in-game NFT minting, and more).
• We made Mirandus free-to-play, while preserving advantages for Exemplar owners.
• We added cosmetics, pets and new play zones like Narrows Landing (remastered) and Skywound Mine.

Mirandus is now firmly in “live game” territory, with an economy and world that evolve alongside the community.

VEXI Villages: From VOX to VEXI

We rebranded VOX to VEXI and launched VEXI Villages, an idle harvesting and worker placement game on GalaChain.

Over the year, VEXI:

• Introduced daily challenges, achievements and login rewards
• Expanded city blocks and added a Town Hall and Mayor slot
• Rebuilt key parts of the UI/UX to make the game smoother and more intuitive
• Ran weekly events and monthly special drops
  

Other news

Two more big moments for games:

• We signed an agreement to relaunch hit Web3 FPS Shrapnel on GalaChain (from Avalanche), becoming the first foreign Web3 game approved in China via the government-backed TCC framework and opening access to around 600 million Chinese gamers.
• Sweepstakes saw its 100,000th ticket submitted, and over 17 million GALA rewarded.
  

🎵🎬 Music & Film: Web3 Firsts and Deepening Engagement

While DeFi and Games were evolving fast, Gala Music and Gala Film were quietly racking up their own Web3 “firsts”.

Gala Music: Mixtape Leagues & Artist-Led Futures

Gala Music now hosts:

• 368 artists
• 1,855 tracks

In 2025 we reshaped the core experience:

• Launched Mixtape Leagues, where users build collections and curate playlists around weekly themes.
• This helped drive engagement up by over 20x, with listeners spending much more time actively playing and discovering music instead of just passively streaming.
  

We also:

• Partnered with the Fashion Institute of Technology for a second year, supporting the student Entrepreneurship Competition.
• Continued to support Gala Music artists as they prepare to launch their own tokens on GalaPump, connecting music communities directly into the broader GalaChain economy.
  

Gala Film: From TVs to Theatres (and Back Again)

Gala Film delivered several big Web3 milestones in 2025:

• Secured an LG TV deal, rolling out from 2026 to over 200 million TVs and making Gala one of the first Web3 platforms integrated directly into TV software.
• Brought Witchboard to theatres across the US – the first Web3-backed film at this scale.
• Celebrated Four Down winning Best Film at Sunscreen Film Festival, another first for a Web3 studio.
• Co-produced an action thriller with a top-three Hollywood studio, currently in post-production and set to land in Q1 2026.

🧩 Platform: The Rails Underneath

A lot of important work in 2025 happened “under the hood” – the kind of things that don’t always make headlines, but make everything above them possible.

This year we:

• Shipped the Solana bridge, making it easier to move value between ecosystems.
• Relaunched Referrals 2.0, allowing users to earn rewards from up to five layers of friends, with over 1 million $GALA already given back to the community this year.
• Delivered a GalaScan revamp and GalaChain SDK v2, making it easier for developers to build on the network.
• Brought multisig support on GalaChain to the brink of launch, adding more secure options for teams and treasuries.
  

Looking forward to 2026

It’s been a challenging year to build in this space. But because of the work our teams and community have put in, Gala ends 2025 as a four-pillar, GalaChain-native, AI-accelerated ecosystem.

We:

• Turned DeFi into a real business pillar,
• Levelled up our other 3 pillars – Games, Music and Film – with new content, partnerships and on-chain activity,
• And strengthened the infra and tools that everything else depends on.

A great foundation as we move into 2026 to support many new innovative propositions, partnerships and events we have in the pipeline.
