What you need to know for AMC Networks and Gala Games’ The Walking Dead VOX drop on March 28th
Your chance to snag one of the rarest VOX from Series 3 is quickly approaching. On Monday March 28th, 8,888 brand new VOX Boxes will be sold on the Gala Games platform. Each Box contains one unique NFT avatar inspired by the characters and world of AMC’s The Walking Dead.
How to Prepare
These Boxes will be released at 4pm PDT on Monday, March 28 — one day after the premiere of The Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 14 on Sunday, March 27 at 9/8c on AMC.
If you are hoping to become the owner of a TWD VOX, there are a few things you can do to be ready and give yourself the best chances at drop time.
Create a Gala Games account
VOX Boxes will be sold through the Gala Games platform, so you’ll need a Gala account to participate.
Get Some GALA
GALA is the official cryptocurrency of the Gala Games platform, and the only currency accepted for the purchase of VOX Boxes on Monday.
GALA can be purchased on many cryptocurrency exchanges (found on this CoinGecko list), then deposited into your Gala Games wallet.
The price of each VOX Box is the GALA equivalent of 0.888 ETH.

Get Some ETH
To make purchases on the Gala Games platform, you must also have some ETH in your wallet to pay network fees (gas) with each blockchain transaction. It is available on any cryptocurrency exchange.

Opening the Boxes
All VOX Boxes will be purchased closed from the Gala Games store. Beginning on April 7th, owners will have the ability to open their VOX Boxes using a connected Metamask wallet through CollectVOX.com.
How it Works
- The VOX Box owner sends their VOX box to the VOX contract using the interface provided. The owner is responsible for paying gas fees at this time, because an NFT will be minted.
- Shortly after the VOX Box is sent, a unique VOX is minted and sent directly to the same connected wallet. The original VOX Box is burned, and the owner is left with one of the 8,888 one-of-a-kind VOX.
Gala Games Wallet & Metamask Wallet
When it’s time to exchange your VOX Box, it’s not necessary to transfer the VOX to another Metamask wallet. There is a relatively simple way to import your Gala Games wallet into Metamask using your account’s 12 word recovery phrase.
This is the same method that is used to interact with your Gala wallet when trading on the secondary market at OpenSea.io.
